Mozae Downing-Rivers

This week’s “Blast from the Past” is Barton Community College basketball player Mozae Downing-Rivers.

He went to high school at Lawrence Free State, but his hometown is Atchison. He helped the top ranked Cougars complete the dream season last month capturing their first National Championship in school history.

The Cougars beat Triton College 88-73 in the title game on March 30th and Mozae finished the game with two points, seven assists, and four rebounds.

He started all 37 games averaging six points, six assists, and three rebounds per game with the Cougars finishing 36-1. He’s also third in school history in career assists with 401.
