JCN Charger, Jacee Kramer Leads the Charge for JCN This Season
Jacee Kramer

For the sixth straight year the Jefferson County North Lady Chargers hoisted the tournament trophy of their home Invitational and remained unbeaten on the season.  JCN also holds the top spot in the Class 2A rankings in the state.

While the JCN Chargers have a vast group of players on that can score double figures on any night, it's senior, Jacee Kramer that has paced the Chargers on the season posting 22.6 points per game thus far and leading the team in scoring in all the tournament games this past week.

Kramer opened the tournament with a 25 point showing in a crushing win over Oskaloosa as the Chargers cruised past the Bears 93-33 in the first round showdown. Jacee lead the Chargers, while five other gals registered double figures alongside her in the win.

The senior followed that performance up with a 15 point night against Perry Lecompton with a 52-34 win in the semifinals of the tournament and the finished the tourney off with a 19 point game against ACCHS in the Championship as the Chargers won 69-36.

After the tournament the points continued to roll in for Kramer as she posted 24 points on Monday night to help JCN top Pleasant Ridge 76-28.

Jacee on the season has posted eight games of 20+ points and surpassed 30 points twice on the campaign in the first two games of the year with 31against McLouth and Baldwin. The Baldwin game was the closest the Chargers have played - winning it by 14 points.

Kramer is headed to Emporia State after her senior year to continue her basketball career but her and her teammates have plenty of business to take care of this season as they have their sights set on a return to the Class 2A state tournament and perhaps a state title as they sit at 13-0 on the season right now.
