Cuttar Huss

The Trojans of Troy have worked out to a 9-1 start on the basketball court and after a win in the Quarterfinals of the Twin Valley League tournament are in the Semifinals of the tournament. Leading the charge for Troy has been the play of junior, Cuttar Huss who has put on a scoring display all season.

Troy is on a current four-game win streak claiming three wins last week and another on Monday in the Quarterfinals of the TVL tournament. The week started off with the Trojans bouncing back from their first loss of the season by topping Onaga 56-40 and Huss posted 15 points in the win.

Up next was a date with non-league foe Maur Hill-Mount Academy before the TVL tournament started up and the Trojans took care of the Ravens with a 55-36 victory and Huss led the way pouring in 27 points.

Next up the TVL tournament and the Trojans went into the tournament was the four seed and in the opening round dispatched Linn 66-33 and Huss contributed 15 points in the win that set up another matchup against Hanover this season. On Monday Huss once again surpassed 20 points finishing with 25 and helped the Trojans top Hanover 66-59 for the TVL Quarterfinal win.

Throughout the season Huss has put on a show offensively with six 20-plus point games including a 37 point outburst against Hanover in the regular season contest and has not scored below 15 points all season. The junior is averaging 23.2 points per game, 2.2 rebounds per game, 2.8 steals per game and 1.5 assists per game for Troy this season.

The Trojans look to continue their success this season as they gear up for the TVL tournament Semifinals where they get a rematch against Washington County later this week and you can count on Huss helping lead the way for Troy with his teammates as the Trojans continue their season.
