Haley Strathman

B&B Falcon senior, Haley Strathman has been leaping to success all year in track and field competitions for the Falcons continuing off her success from last year with three medals at state in Class 1A including a state title in the high jump.

The Falcon senior soared through the air at Regionals this past Friday to qualify for state in three events while claiming two Regional titles. Perhaps, Strathman’s best event the high jump she claimed the Regional title with a mark of 5-07, her school record mark and a mark three inches better than second place. The Regional triple jump title was added to Strathman’s trophy case, too with a leap of 34-09.75, seven inches above second place.

State qualifying performances didn’t stop there for Haley as she nabbed a fourth place finish in the long jump with a leap of 15-07.50. With the fourth place in the long jump Strathman made it back-to-back years qualify for state in the high jump, long jump and triple jump. Last year, Strathman claimed the high jump state title and finished sixth in the long jump and triple jump.

Haley all year leapt to success winning multiple events throughout the season, including claiming the TVL crowns in the triple jump and high jump, while placing third in the long jump.

Strathman ends earn B&B Falcon career with the school record and TVL record in the high jump and a state title last year but has her sight set on more state championships and perhaps a state record in the high jump has here best mark is only 1.5 inches shy of the state record 5-08.5. Soaring to great heights in sports Strathman has played multiple B&B volleyball state championship teams and now looks to add to her hardware with state track accomplishments on Friday and Saturday.
