Housh’s versatility propels Atchison to high-scoring victory
Austin Housh
The KC Wyandotte football team did all it could trying to stop senior tailback Austin Housh. The jack of all trades used his abilities to find the endzone three times in a big 51-48 victory over KC Wyandotte.

Housh recorded nearly half of his all-purpose yards in the game, racking up 318 total yards. He carried the ball 21 times for 113 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 5.38 yards per rush. To go with the rushing attack, Housh caught the ball twice for 33 yards and a score. If that wasn’t enough, he then returned a kick 80 yards for a big touchdown.

The do-it-all halfback has 275 rushing yards and five touchdowns after four games. Housh also has 178 receiving yards and one touchdown. In the victory over Pleasant Ridge, he rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns. In the loss to KC Washington, Housh only rushed for 24 yards, but scored two touchdowns and racked up 101 receiving yards.

The Atchison Redmen are 2-2 on the year and play KC Harmon this Friday, October 4th. You can hear that game on KAIR 1470 AM or online at mscsports.net.
