Peru State Continues Climb in NAIA Football Poll

 For the third week in a row, the Peru State Bobcat football team has a made a big jump in the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll. This week, the 'Cats moved up four spots from 16th to 12th after four teams ahead of Peru State in the rankings suffered losses last week.

For the second-consecutive week, the top seven teams remain unchanged in the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Monday. Top-ranked Morningside (Iowa) moved one step closer to becoming the first team since 2009 to last the entire season at No. 1, as the Mustangs received their seventh-straight top mention with 13 first-place votes and 288 points in the sixth regular-season edition.

Four Heart of America Athletic Conference teams are ranked this week.  Benedictine remains #5 at 7-0,  Missouri Valley is ranked 6th at 5-1,  Baker is ranked 9th at 6-1 and the Peru State Bobcats at 6-1 are up to 12th.
