Peru State Fullback Named HAAC Offensive Player of Week

Peru State senior fullback Ethan Bray was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Offensive Player of the Week. Bray joined Leon Jackson, HAAC Defensive Player of the Week from Missouri Valley College, and Michael Brewer, HAAC Special Teams Player of the Week, from MidAmerica Nazarene University, as the honorees named Monday morning.

Peru State remained one game out of first place in the conference after another win on the last play of the game over Culver-Stockton College 31-28. Bray, from Liberal, Mo., was a workhorse for the Bobcats as he rushed for 252 yards on 40 attempts. His 252 yards tied the 23-year-old single-game rushing record set by Scott Gerdes in 1990 against Baker University in the NAIA playoffs. 1990 was the year Peru State won the national championship.
