Four Kanzaland Area Teams in latest KVA rankings
By Mike Smith

After last week the Kansas Volleyball Association rankings only featured two teams from the Kanzaland area in the top five rankings; this week that total doubles with two teams jumping into the top five in their respective classes.

The two new teams to the latest KVA rankings are familiar with the rankings as they were previously ranked this season. In Class 4A, the Holton Wildcats who previously were in the rankings a few weeks ago find themselves back in the rankings this week as they are ranked fifth with a 19-6 record on the season, most recently sweeping Hiawatha in a dual. The Wildcats are joined by another Big Seven League team that is recieving some notice in Class 4A as the Jeff West Tigers are recieving votes with their 23-4 record this year.

All the other teams in the rankings come out of the Twin Valley League as Baileyville-B&B and Centralia continue to be dominate in volleyball action and are both still ranked in their respective class. B&B checks in the top spot, yet again with a 27-2 record this season, while Centralia is 25-3 on the season falling from the number one spot to number three this week.

The other new Kanzaland area team to the KVA rankings this week is another team familiar with the rankings as the Washington County Tigers jump back into the rankings this week to the number three spot in Class 2A with their 21-2 record this season.

Volleyball regular season is coming to a close with just a few matchups before league tournaments and then sub-state action for teams.
