Don Hogue Named New A-D at Falls City High School

 (KLZA) -- Don Hogue has been hired as the new Activities Director / P.E. Instructor at Falls City High School. He will begin his new duties with the 2014-15 school year.  Hogue will continue to serve as head boys basketball coach at Falls City High School.

High School Principal Gale Dunkas said he is looking forward to working with Hogue on a daily basis at the high school, calling him a hard worker and passionate about sports.

Hogue has been the Falls City Middle School P.E. teacher since 1998.He has been the Tigers head boys basketball coach since 1999 building the Tiger program into one of the best in the state.  Falls City just completed a 24-3 season which set a new school record for wins in a season and saw the team return to the state tournament.  During the winter Hogue became the winningest Tiger basketball coach in the history of the program.

Hogue has also served as both assistant and head football coach at Falls City.  He is a Dawson-Verdon High School and Peru State College graduate with a Master’s Degree in Education from Doane College.

Hogue will succeed Darwin Palmer who is retiring following 23 years as Athletic Director at Falls City High School.
