Husker Baseball Team Earns At-Large NCAA Berth

The Nebraska baseball team is one of 33 teams to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA baseball tournament, which begins with regional play on May 30th. 

The Huskers (40-19) are the #2 seed in the Stillwater Regional hosted by top-seed Oklahoma State (45-16). In the first game the Huskers will take on Cal-State Fullerton (32-22) the 4th seed in the region is Binghampton ( 25-25).

If the Huskers can win the Regional they would advance to Super Regional Play. The Stillwater Regional winner will advance to take on the Corvallis Regional winner which includes top seed Oregon State (42-12) and the overall #1 seed in the tournament.  #4 North Dakota State,  2nd seed UNLV and #3 seed UC Irvine.

Indiana is the 4th overall seed in the tournament.  The Big 10 champions will open play against Youngstown State in the Bloomington Regional.  

Kansas makes the tournament field for the first time since 2009 and will play 2nd seed Kentucky in the Louisville Regional.  

From the Big 12 Texas will take on Texas A&M out of the SEC in round 1.  TCU will host that Regional.   Texas Tech is the other Big 12 school in the tournament.
