With wins over Avila University and Manhattan Christian College on the weekend, the Peru State College (PSC) Bobcat volleyball team improved to 8-19 on the season.  The Bobcats have now won their third game in a row, matching their longest winning streak of the season.

The Bobcats only have one game next week, as they will travel to Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., on Monday, Oct. 8.  The game with the Wildcats will begin at 7 p.m.  Baker is presently 3-1 in the HAAC and 13-9 overall.

The following week the Bobcats will have two games.  On Tuesday, Oct. 16, PSC will travel to Springfield, Mo., to face the Evangel University Crusaders.  The Crusaders are 16-9 overall and 5-1 in the HAAC and will face Graceland before playing the Bobcats.

On Saturday, Oct. 20, the Bobcats will face Central Methodist University (CMU) in the AWAC following the Bobcat football game at 4:30 p.m.  This will be a big game for the team as it will be Senior Day, Parents' Day, and will be Dig Pink day as well.  Dig Pink Day is The Side-Out Foundation's trademark name for its fundraising events for breast cancer research.  All proceeds benefit Side-Out, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families.

In addition, on that Saturday, fans are invited to attend the football game that day which will begin at 1 p.m. against Central Methodist.  Prior to the start of the game, the football team will recognize their seniors and their parents.  At halftime, Bobcat football alumnae will be recognized.  Following the game, a special ground-breaking ceremony will be held, as the renovation for the Oak Bowl will begin the following week.
