(KLZA)-- The Nebraska Boys State Tournament Basketball pairings are now set.
In Class C1 the Falls City Tigers (22-3) are teh 5th seed and will take on 4th seed Columbus Scotus (20-5) in the opening round at 3:45 p-m on Thursday, March 12 at the Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln. Falls City is ranked 6th and 7th. The Shamrocks are ranked second in C1.
A Tiger win would move them into semfinal round action at 10:45 a-m on Friday, March 13th. The Tigers would play either #1 seed Bishop Neumann or #8 seed Lincoln Christian.
In Class D2, 3rd ranked Falls City Sacred Heart ( 20-6) will be the 5th seed and will take on 6th ranked Riverside (19-7) at 8:45 p-m on Thursday the 12th at Lincoln Southeast High School.
A Sacred Heart win would put them in the semifinals at 3:45 p-m on Friday the 13th. Possible opponents are #1 seed Bancroft-Rosalie or #8 seed Bertrand.
Exeter-Milligan earned a wildcard berth in D2 and will be the 7th seed taking on Wilcox-Hildreth in the opening round.
The Freeman Falcons (25-2) qualified in C2 as teh #2 seed and will take on Aquinas Catholci on Thursday the 12th at 2 p-m at Licnoln Northeast.
In Class B Plattsmouth ( 16-8), one of the teams that defeated Falls City this year qualfied for the State Tournament as a #7 seed and will go up against #2 seed Beatrice (21-1) in the opening round.
