(KLZA)-- For the first time ever the Falls City Tiger Baseball Team will take the field Friday afternoon. Starting at 4:30 p-m the Tiger varsity will take on the Plattsmouth Blue Devils followed by the Junior Varsity game at approximately 6:30. 

You will be able to listen to the game live on A-M 1230, KTNC Friday. 

Tiger Coach Kory Huppert has been working on getting the program started for several years and says he is excited for the season to start.  He says the players are happy to get the opportunity to play baseball.

We went from great baseball weather early in the week to much cooler weather, which makes baseball a harder game to play.  Some of the players also had an extended basketball season due to another trip to the State Basketball Tournament. Coach Huppert says there is plenty of time for the team to work toward the end of the season and post-season play.

There are about 30 players out for the team and they have a wide range of playing experience.   

The Tigers and the Blue Devils play Friday afternoon at 4:30 p-m. Again you can hear the action live on A-M 1230, KTNC.
