Benedictine Men Recieve Early Exit from NAIA National Tournament
By Jonny Kane

The No. 16-ranked Benedictine Men's Basketball team received an early exit from the NAIA National Tournament on Wednesday with a 80-77 loss to No. 18 University of Montana-Western.

Benedictine, who was making their second straight tournament appearance, saw a 14-point first half lead erased by the Bulldogs who ultimately took a 43-39 lead into the break.

The Ravens were then able to chip away at the lead early in the second half and eventually take the lead, but Montana-Western countered with a 15-4 run of their own to take back the lead for good.

Stephen McCall took over the ballgame down the stretch for the Bulldogs as he scored 24 points in the second half while going 15-for-15 from the free throw line in the ballgame to finish with 36 points.

John Harris Jr. led the Ravens in scoring as he finished with 17 points while Jake Schannuth and Brett Fisher each added nine points.

The Ravens finish the 2014-15 season with a record of 24-9 and a first round exit in their second straight NAIA National Tournament appearance.
