Top 20 Individual Finishes by Sabetha & Nemaha Central Highlights 3A Boys State Golf

A pair of Top 20 individual finishes highlighted the Class 3A boy's state golf competition for the Northeast Kansas area as golfers took to the course in Hesston to compete.

The lone area team to qualify was Nemaha Central and the Thunder posted a four-man team score of 355 to place seventh out of 12 teams. Leading the way was Zach Bradley as he notched 19th place individually behind a round of 82, while Dylan Enneking, Blake Mohney and Cory Nolte finished out the team score with rounds of 85, 88 and 100 to finish 36th, 52nd and 79th, respectively. Tristan Allen and Michael Love also competed for the Thunder scoring rounds of 101 and 109 to finish 87th and 95th out of 101 competitors.

Sabetha Bluejay, Connor Epple posted the best individual performance carding a round of 79 to place 10th out of 101 competitors.

Five other area golfers were in action at State in Hesston with two finishing in the Top 40 and all five of them finishing 86th or better. Maur Hill-Mount Academy Raven, Christian Wessel tallied a 34th place finish with a round of 84, while his teammate Canyon Miller placed 86th with a round of 101. ACCHS Tiger, Patrick Sullivan notched a round of 86 to finish 39th, while Sam Sowers finished 77th with a 98. Marysville Bulldog, Joe Ellenbecker also was in action in Hesston and carded an 88 to place 50th at State.
