Making it to the professional level of any sport is tough and one former Holton Wildcat football player is looking to accomplish that in the NFL as Forrestal Hickman recently signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers and will participate in their minicamp, Tuesday.

Hickman a Holton native graduated from Holton in 2011 and was a 4A All-State player on the offensive line in his final season, while earning honorable mention on the defensive line. He also represented Holton in the annual Kansas Shrine Bowl game. Upon graduation Hickman attended Missouri S&T a Division II school and went on to be a three-year starter on the offensive line playing left tackle, taking over as the starter in the final seven games of his freshman season. The 6'8 315lbs left tackle earned All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors three times and studied mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.

The Chargers brought in Hickman for a tryout back in May for rookie minicamp and then he participated in the Cincinnati Bengals minicamp and now will be a part of the Chargers minicamp after signing with the team.
