Ten Area Teams in KVA Volleyball Rankings after Week Two

The volleyball season is in full force and several area teams continue to post top notch performances on the court and this week 10 area teams hailing from the Twin Valley League, Big Seven League and Northeast Kansas League are the latest Kansas Volleyball Association rankings. 

In Class 4A-Division II the Holton Wildcats continue to hold down the number one spot in the Top 10 KVA rankings and are 7-1 on the season, after splitting a with Sabetha on Tuesday night in two three set matches. The Royal Valley Panthers also continue to be in the 4A-DII rankings, but this week fall four spots to seventh as they are 6-5 on the season after a split at Jeff West on Tuesday night in a pair of three set contests. 

The Nemaha Central are back in the rankings in Class 3A, after falling out last week the Thunder come roaring back into the 3A polls at seventh this week as they are 9-1 on the season. Nemaha Central took care of Riverside for a pair of wins on Tuesday night in Big Seven action. 

Class 2A houses a pair of area teams in the Top 10 this week as the Valley Falls Dragons remain in the rankings moving up one spot to eighth, as they are 14-2 on the season. The Dragons remained unbeaten in NEKL play on Tuesday with wins against Immaculata and McLouth. The Washington County Tigers join the Dragons in the 2A rankings this week as the Tigers return to the polls jumping back into the rankings at sixth, after falling out the previous week. The Tigers are 10-2 on the season after a 2-0 night at the Linn Triangular beating Centralia and Linn. 

Three area teams are in the rankings this week in Class 1A-Division I with the Centralia Panthers leading the charge as they remain ranked second and also remain unbeaten on the season. The Panthers are 10-1 after picking up a win against Linn on Tuesday night, while suffering their first loss of the season to Washington County. Fellow Twin Valley League to Centralia in Hanover joins the 1A-DI rankings for the first time this year coming in at eighth in the polls. The Wildcats are 10-3 on the season after beating Doniphan West and Frankfort on Tuesday night. The Immaculata Raiders jump back into the polls this week in Class 1A-DI after starting the season ranked and come in at ninth in the polls after week two action. After splitting on Tuesday with Valley Falls and McLouth the Raiders are 6-2 on the season. 

Two more TVL teams are ranked in Class 1A-Division II as both Axtell and Linn remain in the rankings this week. For the Eagles they moved up one spot to second in the polls and are 9-3 on the season after wins against Wetmore and Troy on Tuesday. While, Linn remained ranked tenth in the polls and is 5-6 after falling to Centralia and Washington County on Tuesday.
