Two First Place Finishes Lead ACCHS Wrestlers at Junction City Invite

It was a 7-1 record and seven pinfall wins that led the ACCHS Tigers on Saturday at the Junction City Invitational on the wrestling mats as Hunter Ostertag and Ryan Hanshaw combined for that 7-1 record and a pair of individual first place finishes for the Tigers. While three other Tiger wrestlers finished fifth or sixth on the day. 

Ostertag ranked second at 132lbs in Class 3-2-1A came out on top at the Junction City Invitational going 4-0 with four pinfall victories in 2:25 and 38, 11 and 59 seconds. On the season Ostertag improved to 21-4 with the 4-0 day on the mats. 

Hanshaw joined Ostertag on the podium in the first place spot after going 3-1 on the mats at 285lbs picking up his three wins all by pinfall coming in times of 1:45, 2:35 and 51 seconds. With the 3-1 showing Hanshaw moved to 17-11 on the season on the mats. 

Austin Hager finished fifth place for the Tigers at 106lbs going 1-4 in action with his win coming by pinfall in 5:33, while both Nick Hager (145lbs) and Dylan Brinkinsha (152lbs) each finished sixth place for the Tigers. Hager finished 1-2 with a pinfall win in 54 seconds, while Brinkinsha was 0-2 on the day. 

The Tigers won't hit the mats again until February 11th when they host a double dual and then will finish out the regular season at the Big Seven Tournament on Saturday, February 13th.
