Sabetha Legion Baseball Earns Non-League Win Over Auburn

It was a quiet Tuesday night for legion baseball in the Northeast Kansas League as Sabetha was the only team in action hosting a non-league foe in Auburn (NE) and earning an 8-5 win. 

Sabetha up just 4-3 going into the bottom of the fifth inning pushed their lead out further doubling their score with four runs in the fifth capitalizing on three Auburn errors in the frame and went on to snag the win. Riley Hermann led the way on the mound earning his first career legion win by tossing five and one-third innings giving up four runs on four on four hits. Trevor Kramer finished off the game on the mound going the final inning and two-thirds to secure the win and earn the save. While offensively, Kaid Allen returned to the Sabetha lineup and led the way with three hits including a pair of doubles and Hermann aided his cause on the mound with a pair of hits on the night. 

The win moves Sabetha to 18-12 on the season and was the team's 30th game played this year. Season continues for Sabetha on Wednesday night as they travel to Corning for a League double header (6:00pm game will be broadcasted on 103.9 KNZA).
