That lead lasted only a little over one minute twenty seconds of game time for Frankfort as Onaga recovered from the turnover getting a 65-yard kickoff return from Kufahl to set up the Buffaloes with first and goal on the five. On third down Logan Marten rolled out to the right and found Kufahl for a five-yard connection for touchdown and the Buffaloes regained the lead 14-12 with 3:21 left in the first quarter.
