Even though the rains came and the game was over an hour late getting started, it was the Troy Trojans who opened the floodgates Friday night taking a 68-12 win over visiting ACCHS.
With their first touchdown of the night coming in the first minute of the game, Troy scored 32 opening quarter points and were up 60-0 at halftime. Quarterback Reid Greaser accounted for 48 of those points as he ran for 4 TD's and threw for 3 more and tacked on 3 PAT's for good measure.
The Tigers tenacity paid off as they got on the scoreboard in the third quarter. First on a 92 yard kickoff return by Hunter Ostertag and then on a fumble recovery in the endzone by DL Luke Miller.
Next Friday Troy is back home hosting Centralia and the Tigers will play Perry-Lecompton in Effingham.
