Frankfort Wins Big Over Valley Falls

Behind a 36 point first quarter, the Frankfort Wildcats moved to .500 on the season with a 62-12 win over Valley Falls on the road Friday night in a game that was called at halftime.

The Wildcats scored early and often beginning with senior quarterback Adam Kenworthy scoring on an 8-yard rush with 9:40 remaining in the first quarter. Kenworthy would tack on three more scores in the opening quarter, two through the air and one more on the ground, and the route was on from there.

Kenworthy finished the game accounting for seven total touchdowns with four coming on the ground, two through the air, and the final coming on a 25-yard interception return for a score. He was 4-6 passing for 95 yards, while also rushing for 101 yards on just seven carries.

Colton Parthemer and Rylen Bailey each caught touchdown passes from Kenworthy, with Parthemer’s coming from 40 yards out and Bailey’s from 35. Garret Dalinghaus also recording a rushing touchdown for the Wildcats finishing with 55 yards on eight carries.

Valley Falls received their two scores on touchdown passes from Tyler Lockhart who connected with Jason Myers on a 66-yard touchdown and Jachin Drinkyard from 10 yards out. Lockhart finished just 10-of-24 passing for 157 yards with Myers finishing with 76 yards receiving on two catches. Chris Yates also hauled in four passes for 57 yards.

Frankfort (2-2, 1-1) is home to Axtell Friday night, while Valley Falls (1-3) hosts Rural Vista.
