Cross country has been off and running with great competition for just about an month and several area runners and schools have put together some strong performances. KSHSAA has released the 2016 cross country Regionals. 

The three area Class 4A schools in Atchison, Holton and Jeff West will run Regionals at Pierson Park at the KC Turner Regional.

In Class 3A two Regionals will feature area teams as Maur Hill, Pleasant Ridge, Nemaha Central, Horton, Sabetha, ACCHS, Hiawatha, Royal Valley, Riverside and Marysville will all travel to Riley County to run Regionals. While, Oskaloosa and Perry Lecompton will run Regionals at Council Grove. 

Class 2A will have an area team hosting Regionals as Washington County will host the action and Valley Heights, Troy, Valley Falls, Jefferson County North and Jackson Heights will compete there. 

All the area Class 1A teams in Axtell, Centralia, Frankfort, Clifton-Clyde, Doniphan West, Onaga and Wetmore will all race their Regional at Riley County.
