Kansas High School Football Rankings - Seven Area Teams in Rankings After Week 6

District play for everyone moving forward as Class 4A and 3A join with 2-1A and 8-Man this week in District action. Six area teams remain unbeaten headed into week seven, while only two area teams remain in search for their first win of the year. 

Class 2-1A continues to the be the classification filled with the most area teams with the Troy Trojans leading the way as they continue to be ranked #1 across the board in all the rankings. Trojans are 6-0 on the season after handling McLouth 51-6 last week. The Jefferson County North Chargers are ranked #5 in three polls - CatchitKansas, Topeka-Capital Journal and VarsityKansas as they are 6-0 after a 66-12 rout of Christ Prep. Washington County Tigers are 5-1 on the season after a 28-21 win over Centralia and ranked as high as #4 in the Capital Journal poll, while ranked #5 by Kpreps and #6 by CatchitKansas in their Top 10. Valley Heights Mustangs rank #7 in the CatchitKansas Top 10 after improving to 5-1 beating Oswego 55-0. Jackson Heights Cobras have suffered back-to-back loss the last two weeks and are 4-2 but still getting attention in the Class 2-1A polls. 

The Hanover Wildcats continue to hold down the #1 spot in 8-Man Division II across the State as they are 5-0 on the season after beating Blue Valley-Randolph 55-8 last week. In 8-Man Division I the Clifton-Clyde Eagles continue to get attention in the rankings but suffered their first loss of the season last week falling 66-20 to Burlingame. 

The Atchison Redmen improved to 6-0 with a 55-27 win over KC Harmon and won the KCAL title for the third straight year. Atchison ranks in the 4A Division I polls as high as #3 in the VarsityKansas poll, while ranking #4 in the CatchitKansas poll and #5 in the Topeka-Capital Journal rankings. 

4A Division II has the Holton Wildcats getting some attention in the polls after three-straight wins improving to 3-3 last week with a 66-26 win over Hiawatha. 

Class 3A the Sabetha Bluejays at 6-0 are ranked #7 in the CatchitKansas Top 10 poll and remained unbeaten after cruising past ACCHS 79-0 last week. While Nemaha Central moved to 6-0 last week with a 48-7 win over Perry Lecompton and the Thunder continue to get attention in the rankings.
