Frankfort Arctic Track Invite Full Results (4-7-17) - Girls & Boys

Track season rolled along on Friday as Frankfort hosted Onaga, Marysville and Centralia for a meet that was scheduled earlier in the spring sports season but Mother Nature postponed the action the first time around. 

Centralia girls and boys took first in the track action between the four teams as the girls tallied 103 points and the boys 97 to win the Frankfort Arctic Invite. On the girls side Frankfort took second, Onaga third and Marysville fourth, while for the boys Marysville finished second Frankfort third and Onaga in fourth. 

A total of 10 event wins for the lady Panthers led them to first place on the day, while the boys racked up nine event wins. In the field events four of the Centralia girls first place finishes came as Madison Lueger won the javelin (123'02), Kate Elliott won the shot put (34'01), Kennedy Becker won the long jump (15'09) and Breanna Schmitz earned first in the pole vault (10'00). On the track the Centralia girls earned first in the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays with times of 4:23.94 and 11:42.25, while Emma Holthaus paced her way to gold in the 3200 meter run (14:18.51) and Tamra Jones won the 1600 meter run (6:42.95). Maegan Koch and Morgan Kramer each sprinted to wins taking first in the 400 and 200 meter dashes with times of 1:03.01 and 27.90.

Five of the nine first place finishes for the Centralia boys came on the track as the boys won the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays with times of 3:52.65 and 9:24.26, while Colby Arnold took first in the 800 meter run (2:26.12) and Ransom Engelken won the 3200 meter run (12:32.57). Dylan Boeckman won the other gold on the track posting a time of 43.90 to win the 300 meter hurdles, while also notching a mark of 12'06 to win the pole vault. The throwing events were swept by the Centralia boys as Derek VanDorn won the shot put (40'09.50), Daegan Steinlage took first in the discus (128'03) and Josh Hasenkamp finished first in the javelin (165'05).

The host Frankfort Wildcats had seven event wins on the day between the girls and boys competitions. In the girls action Emilee Ebert sprinted to the win in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.39, while a time of 2:58.79 won the gold for Kennen Brandt in the 800 meter run. The lady Wildcats 4x100 meter relay team took first with a time of 55.36, while Gracie Schell won the high jump (4'02) and Caroline Ahlvers took first in the triple jump (29'03.25). On the boy’s side of competition Brodric Shirley won the 1600 meter run (4:52.99) and Garrett Dalinghaus earned first place in the 110 meter hurdles (18.96). 

Onaga was led by six first place finishes including a pair of gold medals for Logan Marten and Belinda Ames. Marten leapt his way to first place in the long jump (18'10) and the triple jump (37'02), while Ames using times of 18.44 and 52.80 won the 100 and 300 meter hurdles. The Buffalo boys also won the 4x100m relay (47.87) and Shay Duer took first in the discus (94'08).

Leading the way for Marysville at the Frankfort Arctic Invite was Alex White who sprinted to first place finishes in the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 12.26 and 24.80. While 
Joey Bockin won the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.03 and Skyler Arnold took first in the high jump (5'07).
