Sabetha Boys Golf Sweep Top Performances at Home Invitational

Sabetha Boys Golf Invitational Full Results - Varsity & JV

Area teams teed it up on a windy Monday afternoon at Sabetha and it was the Bluejays flying high at the end of the team sweeping the six-man, four-man and two-man team scores while also having five of the Top 10 individual scores. 

Nine total schools were in action with only three fielding a full six-man team score and the host Sabetha Bluejays tallied a six-man score of 544 to take first over Maur Hill-Mount Academy (635) and Marysville (721). Seven of the nine schools fielded four-man teams and Sabetha once again took first place with a team score of 369. Maur Hill followed in second as the only other four-man team to get under 400 posting a 398 team score, while Nemaha Central placed third (414). Rounding out the four-man team scores Hiawatha placed fourth (419), Holton fifth (422), Marysville sixth (501) and Silver Lake seventh (505). 

Five of the nine schools recorded two-man team scores on the day and Sabetha took first in that competition also by a wide margin posting a 175 team score to take first. Horton took second with a team score of 210 and Atchison finished third (217). Marysville and Maur Hill placed fourth and fifth in the two-man team competition with scores of 220 and 237. 

Sabetha was led on the day by the best individual round as Jesse Burger carded an 82 to take first place by three strokes. Bluejays also had the second, fourth, fifth and eighth place individual winners on the day as Noah Garber with an 85 snagged second place, Reese Lierz with a 90 placed fourth, David Pierson posted a 92 took fifth and Garrett Scott carded a 93 taking eighth. 

A pair of Top 10 performances led Maur Hill on the day as Isaac Henderson and Cole Harris placed sixth and tenth with rounds of 93 and 98, respectively. 

Nemaha Central Thunder, Dylan Enneking posted the third best round of the day with an 89, while Atchison and Horton each had a Top 10 finisher on the day, also. Nathan Sowers of Atchison finished seventh with a 93 and Cameron Smith carded a 98 to placed ninth.
