Marysville Track Competes at Smith Center Redmen Relays

The track season rolled along for Marysville as they stepped out of Northeast Kansas and headed to Smith Center to compete in the Redmen Relays on Tuesday. 

Lady Bulldogs notched a fifth place team finish out of 10 schools in action while the boys finished seventh as a team out of nine schools. 

The girls were led by Grace Stohs who registered a height of 11'00 to win the pole vault crown and also tied for fourth in the 200 meter dash. Avery Williams notched a pair of third place finishes placing second in the 300 meter hurdles and third in the long jump. The 4x100 meter relay team earned the silver medal, while Nicole Franco and Sami Bartels each snagged third place finishes in the high jump and javelin. Erin Rombeck also picked up a fifth place finish in the triple jump for the lady Bulldogs. 

In the boys competition Bryson Meinhardt with a toss of 160'08 took the gold in the javelin, while Dayne Brown placed third place in the same event. Matt Lindhorst notched a pair of Top five finishes taking second in the pole vault and fourth in the 200 meter dash, while Adam Lindhorst earned the silver in the discus and Jack Blumer placed fifth in the triple jump. 

Marysville will continue their track season on Tuesday, April 18th at the Republic County Invitational.
