Perry Lecompton Track Invite Full Results - Girls & Boys

The track season rolled along on Tuesday as Perry Lecompton played host to track action with three other area schools in Jeff West, Atchison and Immaculata, along with several other schools in competition. 

On the girls side of competition the Jeff West lady Tigers behind six event wins and a total of 137 points won the team title by 23 points over the host Perry Lecompton who took second place. Atchison girls followed in third place as a team finishing with 103 total points, while Immaculata took sixth out of nine teams. The boys side of competition was dominated by the host Perry Lecompton as they won nine events and posted 204 total points winning by nearly 92 points as Atchison finished second and Jeff West took third. Immaculata boys finished ninth out of nine teams. 

Leading the way for the Perry Lecompton Kaw boys was the sweep of the relay events on the day as they won the 4x100 (44.66), 4x400 (3:36.50) and 4x800 (8:53.24) and even the Thrower's relay (50.28). Torin VanNest swept the boys hurdles posting times of 17.09 and 44.16 to win the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, while Shane Quinlan raced his way to gold in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.43 and Ty Packard won the 800 meter run behind a time of 2:11.68. In the field events a toss of 121'08 won TJ Turpin the discus on the day. The lady Kaws had a trio of first place finishes on the day as Talisa Stone won the high jump (5'00), Abbi Folks took first in the triple jump (35'07.50) and the 4x800 meter relay (10:42.31) took first. 

Jeff West lady Tigers used six individual first place finishes to snag the team first place finish on the day. On the track Mariah Murdie, Jordan Hawman and Macy Tucker all earned a first place finish, while Alyssa Garza, Makenzie Tucker and Dejalynn Saili all won a field event. Murdie took first in the 100 meter hurdles (15.87), while Hawman darted to the win in the 200 meter dash (27.03) and Macy Tucker won the 1600 meter run (5:50.72). In the field events Garza used a toss of 110'11 to take first in the discus, while Makenzie Tucker posted a vault of 8'06 to win the pole vault and a throw of 36'05.50 won Saili the shot put. On the boys side of action Hunter Williams had the best showing for Jeff West as he won the shot put with a throw of 40'08.50. 

Atchison girls and boys each had four event wins on the day at the Perry Lecompton Invite. All four of the Atchison girls first place finishes came on the track and two in relay action as the 4x400 meter relay team took first with a time of 4:20 and the Thrower's relay team snagged first also posting a time of 1:02.16. Emily Jaloma and Teagan Hanson also won events winning the 300 meter hurdles (50.09) and 3200 meter run (13:24.19), respectively. For the Redmen boys LaMarca Tolbert sprinted his way to wins in the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 11.02 and 23.23. While Matthew Sowers won the 1600 meter run (5:01.91) and Frederick Simpson took first in the triple jump (40'02).
