Frankfort Girls & Boys Win Home Track Invite Over Four Area Teams

Frankfort Middle Track Invitational Full Results (4-13-17) - Girls & Boys

The Frankfort Wildcats hosted their Middle track Invitational of the season and welcomed Linn, Blue Valley-Randolph, Doniphan West and Marysville JV to town for competition on Thursday. 

The Wildcats posted the top points in the girls and boys competition dominating the competition. Blue Valley boys and girls each followed in second place, while Linn girls and boys both took third place. Doniphan West girls finished fourth, while the boys took fifth as a team and Marysville JV boys placed fourth and girls fifth. 

Nine first place finishes by the lady Wildcats of Frankfort paced them on the day with Emilee Ebert claiming two of nine event wins. Ebert posted a leap of 17'03.50 to win the long jump and sprinted to a time of 13.39 to win the 100 meter dash. Both Victoria Keller and Grace Dressman each won a track event taking first in the 3200 meter run (17:40.44) and 300 meter hurdles (53.89). Frankfort girls swept the relay titles taking the 4x100 (53.97), 4x400 (5:07.56) and 4x800 (14:31.42) meter relays. In the field events both Kennen Brandt and Kaci Vaughn earned first place finishes winning the pole vault (8'00) and javelin (111'11), respectively. 

The Wildcat boys won seven events on the day with Anthony Koch helping lead the way as he swept the hurdles posting times of 18.92 and 48.50 to win the 110 and 300 meter hurdles. Just like the girls the Wildcat boys also swept the relays winning the 4x100 (50.60), 4x400 (4:23.24) and 4x800 (10:35.06) meter relays and Trey Estes raced his way to the gold in the 800 meter run behind a time of 2:26.95. In the field events Rylen Bailey won the pole vault with a mark of 11'00. 

Blue Valley was led by three individual competitors that each won three events on the day as Trevor Schwerdt, Cole Montgomery and Georgia Hatesohl each claimed three golds. Schwerdt won the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes with times of 12.50, 25.53 and 56.12, while Montgomery won the 1600 meter run (5:01.25) and leapt to first place finishes in the high jump (5'06) and long jump (18'02.25). Hatesohl continued her solid start to the track season by winning the girls 200 and 400 meter dashes behind times of 28.12 and 1:09.90 and also won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.98. Katie Hutson won two events for the lady Rams taking gold in the 800 (2:47.55) and 1600 (6:09.10) meter runs, while Michael Wright won the boys discus with a toss of 122'00. 

Linn Bulldogs captured seven event wins on the day combined by the girls and boys in action. Hunter York took first in the girls shot put and discus after posting throws of 28'00 and 104'05, while Shelby Ohlde won the high jump behind a time of 5'04. In the boys competition three of the four first place finishes for Linn came in the field events as Ricardo Cardenas won the triple jump (36'00.50), Dillon Cooper took first in the javelin (141'05) and Chantz Peters earned first in the shot put (45'01.50). Daniel York snagged the other Linn boys first place finish as he won the 3200 meter run (11:39.63). 

Doniphan West had one event winner on the day as Shayna Wilson took first in the triple jump with a leap of 30'10.50.
