Centralia Volleyball Player & Axtell Volleyball Player & Coach To Participate In KVA All-Star Game

The Kansas Volleyball Association has announced the rosters for their annual All-Star match which is set for June 3rd at Lee Arena at Washburn University at 6:30pm. 

Two area senior volleyball athletes and one area coach are set to participate in the annual All-Star match. Centralia Panther senior, Cassidy Haufler along with Axtell Eagle senior, Anna Buessing are set to play in the All-Star match while Axtell head coach, Pam Buessing will coach in the match. 

Haufler closed out her volleyball career helping Centralia volleyball team finish the season 43-1 and Class 1A-DI State champs. Cassidy recorded 517 kills in her senior season along with 65 aces, 79 blocks and 377 digs earning Class 1A-DI Player of the Year honors, All-State, All-State Tournament and first team All-TVL. The Centralia senior closes her career as part of three State title teams and a State runner-up and plans on attending Kansas State University and participate in rowing. Haufler will be on the Red team for the All-Star contest. 

Buessing finished her Axtell volleyball career helping the Eagles win their first ever State title in school history finishing the season 27-15 and Class 1A-DII State champs. Anna posted 185 kills on the season with 30 aces, 74 blocks, 230 digs and 357 assists earning Class 1A-DII Player of the Year honors, All-State, All-State Tournament and first team All-TVL. The Axtell senior finishes her career as part of a State championship team, State runner-up and third place team. Buessing will be on the Blue team for the All-Star contest. 

Axtell volleyball head coach, Pam Buessing will be on the coaching staff of the Blue team for the All-Star game. Buessing after guiding the Axtell Eagles to the 1A-DII State volleyball title this year and a 27-15 record has now won 273 matches as a volleyball coach and notched a Top three State finish the last three years and won the 2016 Class 1A-DII Coach of the Year honors. 

The All-Star match is set for June 3rd at Lee Arena at Washburn University at 6:30pm.
