Former Nemaha Central Thunder, Shaylyn Stallbaumer Takes 15th at NCAA Nationals In Javelin

Just her second year into competition at the University of Kansas former Nemaha Central Thunder, Shaylyn Stallbaumer competed in at the NCAA DI National Track and Field Championship in Eugene, Oregon. 

Stallbaumer took to action on Thursday in the javelin and posted a toss of 165'09 to earn 15th place out of 24 throwers in the National competition to cap her sophomore campaign with KU track. 

The former Thunder continued to improve and post top notch performances throughout her sophomore year. She qualified for National by earning fourth of 42 throwers at the NCAA DI West Prelims, while she won the javelin at multiple meets and also competed in the shot put. In the outdoor season at the Big 12 Championships, Stallbaumer took fourth in the javelin and 11th in the shot put. She also competed in the shot put during the indoor track season.
