After some League action earlier in the week area teams took to the volleyball court for tournament play on Saturday as McLouth hosted three other area teams along with four more teams for an eight team tournament. 

The action opened with pool play which led to a single elimination bracket. In the Purple pool it was a 3-0 performance for ACCHS who won in three sets over host Mclouth and beat KC Christian and Bishop Seabury each in straight sets. Mclouth took second in the pool going 2-1 beating both KC Christian and Bishop Seabury each in straight sets. Bishop Seabury snagged the other win topping KC Christian in straight sets. 

The Gold Pool saw Heritage Christian go 3-0 winning all three matches in straight sets over Perry Lecompton, Veritas Christian and Maur Hill-Mount Academy. The Kaws of Perry Lecompton took second in the pool with a 2-1 mark beating Veritas Christian in straight sets and Maur Hill in three. Vertias earned the other win in the pool by beating Maur Hill in straight sets. 

In the bracket play it was all the Gold pool teams winning in the first round of the bracket action as Heritage Christian beat KC Christian, Veritas Christian topped Mclouth, Maur Hill won over ACCHS and Perry Lecompton was victorious over Bishop Seabury with all matches being decided in straight sets. 

Semifinals saw a pair of straight set contests also as Heritage Christian took down Veritas Christian and Perry Lecompton topped Maur Hill. 

That put Perry Lecompton against Heritage Christian for the second time on the day this time in the Championship match and Heritage Christian got the better of the Kaws in straight sets.
