Atchison and Pleasant Ridge cross country runners were in action on Tuesday as they competed at the Tonganoxie Invitational and put forth some strong performances. 

Leading the way was Atchison's Emily Jaloma who raced to a time of 22:01.90 to take first in the girl’s race, while her teammate Adalyn Collin finished in second place with a time of 22:14.90. Teagan Hanson was also in action for the lady Red and she raced to an 11th place performance on the day. On the boys side of competition Atchison was led by an 11th place finish from Brennan Wheatley, while Matthew Sowers earned 20th place on the day. Also in action were Jayden Watkins (30th), Canyon Fry (37th), Xhander Gilliland (41st), Gabe Powell (43rd) and Payden Brunton (48th). 

The Pleasant Ridge Rams were led on the day by Luke Oatney who raced to a time of 17:40.70 to place fourth in the boy’s competition, while Noah Trader also competed and finished 26th. Pleasant Ridge girls were led by Grace Dedeke who posted a 13th place finish.
