Sabetha lady Bluejays tennis team took flight to continue their season on Tuesday at the Hayden Quad.
A pair of 2-1 performances paced the Bluejays on the day. Kristen Wenger in Singles #1 competition notched a 2-1 performance and had three tight battles on the court. Wenger picked up a 8-7 (7-5 ) win over Hayden, while also earning a 8-7 (7-3) win over Bishop Meige. Her loss came in a tough contest against an Ottawa competitor as Wenger fell 8-7 (11-9).
The other 2-1 performance for Sabetha came at the hands of the duo of Asten Halls and Jessica Payne in Doubles #2 competition. The Bluejay tandem earned 8-4 wins against Ottawa and Hayden, while falling to Bishop Meige 8-6.
Savanna Osthoff posted a 1-2 performance in Singles #2 action earning a 8-7 (7-3) win over Ottawa, while falling to Bishop Meige 8-3 and Hayden 8-0.
The team of Brooklyn Bauman and Nicole Stallbaumer were also in action for the Bluejays competing in the Doubles #1 competition going 0-3. Bauman and Stallbaumer had a tight battle with Ottawa falling 8-6, while falling to Hayden 8-2 and Bishop Meige 8-3.
Lady Bluejays are quickly back in action as they take the courts at the Washburn Rural Invite on Wednesday, September 27th.
