Jeff West & Holton Girls Golf Compete at Basehor-Linwood Invite

One final tune up for Regionals on Monday both Jeff West and Holton girls golf teams hit the links on Thursday at the Basehor-Linwood Invitational. 

The Tigers and Wildcats competed against some top flight and tough competition finishing seventh and eighth as teams with scores of 429 and 437, respectively. Gardner-Edgerton earned the top team spot with a 371 team score. 

Holton Wildcat, Sarah Hollady led the way for the area performers as she carded a 92 to place sixth. Also in action for the lady Wildcats was Taylor Stevens, Abbigail Hundley and Faith Holaday who placed 30th (110), 38th (117) and 39th (118), respectively. 

Sydney Schneider led the Jeff West Tiger performances placing 13th on the day after shooting a 97. Four other gals were in action for the Tigers also as Madison Michaelis, Mollie Williams and Lily Yager placed 24th (105), 29th (109) and 40th (118), while Tyla Brown competed but did not finish her round. 

Both Holton and Jeff West now turn their attention to Regionals on Monday, October 9th as both will compete at the 4A level at different Regionals. Holton will tee it up in the Clay Center Regional at Clay Center Country Club, while Jeff West will compete at the Spring Hill Regional at Sycamore Ridge Golf course.
