After making state for the first time in 37 years last season the Hanover Wildcats returned to the Class 1A-Division I State tournament.

The Wildcats entered the State tournament as the #5 seed and squared off with the #4 seed Pretty Prairie in the first match of pool play. The Wildcats fell down against the Bulldogs but fought back to make the first set tight but ultimately Pretty Prairie took the first set 25-22. Hanover bounced back in set two and controlled the set taking it 25-14, but set three belonged to Pretty Prairie 25-7.

In the second pool play game Hanover took on Twin Valley League rival and #1 seed Centralia as the two squared off in the State tournament for the second straight but unlike last year the pool play match went into Centralia. Wildcats fell 25-18, 25-10 in the showdown.

Looking to wrap up the season and State Tournament on a strong note and did so with a straight set win over #8 seed Lebo winning 25-18, 25-19 to cap the State tournament.

Hanover Wildcats closed out the season with a 1-2 performance at State and capped the year 30-12.
