Ten Area Wrestlers & One Team Ranked In Latest KWCA Polls

High school wrestling season is underway and many teams and grapplers have logged their first action on the mats to get the season rolling. The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released the first set of in season rankings and 10 area wrestlers and one team are in the polls. 

In Class 4A the Marysville Bulldogs highlight the rankings for the area as they rank eighth as a team in the Top 10 after starting the season strong with a dominate tournament win at the Mission Valley Invite. A quartet of Bulldog grapplers are in the rankings after that team performance at Mission Valley with Joey Bockin leading the way ranking #2 at 120lbs, while both Ethan Crownover and Seth Mooradian each rank #5 at 126lbs and 285lbs, respectively. Storm Slupianek also is in the rankings for Marysville coming in at #6 at 160lbs. 

Only one other area wrestler is in the rankings in Class 4A and that honor belongs to Holton Wildcat Kyler Tannahill who checks in at #3 in the Top six of the 285lbs weight class. 

Five area wrestlers all from different schools are in the latest Class 3-2-1A rankings. Royal Valley Panther, Dalton Ware and Riverside Cyclone, Scott Resler both come in ranked at #3 in their weight classes fo 120lsb and 145lbs, respectively. While Jared Miller of Oskaloosa and Cauy Rokey of Sabetha each rank at #4 at 182lbs and 195lbs, respectively. While Braden Woodson of Perry Lecompton comes in ranked at #5 at 106lbs. 

The high school wrestling season continues with multiple teams in Dual or Quad action and tournaments coming up.
