Sabetha Duals Invite Results (12-9-17) - click here (click on 17-18 results under Sabetha) 

A pair of area wrestling teams faced off against some non-area teams as the Sabetha Bluejays played host to five other schools for a Duals tournament. 

The Sabetha Bluejays tallied a third place team finish on the day going 3-2 in duals, while Pleasant Ridge also competed and placed fourth as a team going 2-3. Washburn Rural JV won the tournament finishing 5-0 on the day. 

On the day the Bluejays earned dual wins over HTRS, Pleasant Ridge and Wamego. Sabetha dominated against HTRS winning 63-12, beat Pleasant Ridge 51-24 and controlled Wamego winnign 54-15. It was tight battle with Auburn and the Bluejays lost 40-39 via tiebreaker and fell to Washburn Rural JV 50-22. 

A trio of guys that were individual champs for the Bluejays on their home mats as Cauy Rokey, Walter Lowdermilk and Kaden Dillon were all unbeaten on the day. Rokey posted a 4-0 day at 195lbs with four pinfall wins all under 42 seconds with two coming in just 17 seconds. Lowdermilk went 3-0 at 160lbs picking up three pinfall wins in 4:48, 1:30 and 2:59, while Dillon notched a 2-0 at 113lbs winning by pinfall in 4:53 and major decision 19-7. Both Colby Tinklin (170lbs) and Kamden Brownlee (152lbs) each posted 2-1 marks on the mats for the Bluejays, while Michael Gugelman (126lbs) was 2-2 on the day. Braden Mitchell (132lbs), Alex Hill (220lbs) and Elliott Strahm (285lbs) each earned one win on the day. 

Pleasant Ridge Rams finished fourth as a team going 2-3 beating Wamego 30-22 and HTRS 31-30 in dual action. While the loss came to Sabetha (51-24), Washburn Rural (72-6) and Auburn (48-24). A 3-1 day on the mats by Luke Oatney at 138lbs led Pleasant Ridge performances as he picked up three pinfall wins in 1:01, 3:23 and 3:59. Seth Beying (182lbs) notched a 2-1 day, while both Nathan Wilburn (132lbs) and Hunter Wagner (195lbs) each recorded 2-2 days on the mats. Levi Burge (145lbs) also recorded a win for Pleasant Ridge.
