Nine Area Wrestlers & One Team Remain Ranked in Latest KWCA Rankings

As the school year heads into the winter break and winter sports will take a short break the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association has released its latest set of rankings. Eight area wrestlers and one team remain in the polls this week. 

Class 4A continues to feature the Marysville Bulldogs as a team in the Top 10 this week coming in at #7 as a team after winning the Hoisington tournament in last action for the holiday break. Three Bulldogs remain in the polls individually this week with Storm Slupianek leading the way coming in at #2 at 160lbs, while Ethan Crownover and Jakob Snellings both rank at #5 in the weight classes of 126lbs and 120lbs, respectively. 

The Holton Wildcats have enjoyed a strong start to the wrestling season including winning the Ottawa Duals tournament in their most recent action. Two Wildcats remain ranked in Class 4A latest KWCA rankings as Kyler Tannahill is ranked #4 at 285lbs and Lawson Henry ranks at #6 at 138lbs. 

Class 3-2-1A rankings feature four area grapplers in the rankings this week with Riverside Cyclone Scott Resler leading the way ranking #2 at 145lbs. Dalton Ware of Royal Valley, Jared Miller of Oskaloosa and Cauy Rokey of Sabetha all rank #5 in their respective weight classes of 120lbs, 182lbs and 195lbs.
