Jackson Heights 45, Madison/Hamilton 28

Despite having their final two regular season games cancelled and not playing in 10 days, the Jackson Heights girls jumped to an 11-3 lead to start their home sub state game against visiting Madison and never let the Bulldogs back in the game.  The Lady Cobras (#4 seed) had a huge advantage in rebounding the basketball and forced 22 turnovers to advance to face top seed and undefeated Olpe in the Alma-Wabaunsee semifinals on Thursday.

Kylie Dohl scored 16  points while Amaya Marlatt added 10 and Abby Williams scored seven in the second half to improve Jackson Heights record to 14-5 on the season.  Calli Dannels led Madison with all 11 of her points in the second half, including three treys after the Bulldogs (11-9) started the contest missing their first eight shots behind the three-point-line.
