Four Big Seven League boys golf teams hit the links on Monday to continue their season competing against each other as Sabetha played host to Hiawatha, Nemaha Central and Royal Valley. 

Sabetha continued their strong start to the golf season as they captured first place at home in the Big Seven Quad posting a team score of 164. Nemaha Central and Royal Valley finished second and third with team scores at 196 and 234, respectively. 

Leading the way for Sabetha was four of the Top five individual rounds on the day with Jesse Burger pacing the way shooting a 37 to take the top individual spot on the day. Garrett Scott tallied a 39 on the day to take second, while Tanner Ukele finished third with a 43 and David Pierson shot a 45 to place fifth. Riley Lierz also finished in the Top 10 taking ninth after carding a 50. 

Nemaha Central was led by Eric Hammes who with a 46 earned sixth place on the day, while Dalton Schmelzle shot a 47 to place seventh and Billy Mitchell shot a 51 to finish tenth. 

A fourth place finish by Corey Humpert led Royal Valley as he carded a 45 for the Panthers best round of the day. 

Hiawatha had Caden Lillie in action and he shot a 47 to take eighth place at the Big Seven Quad at Sabetha.
