Doniphan West Host Track Relays with Area Teams

Doniphan West Track Relays Results (4-20-18) - Girls & Boys

Track season continued on Friday at the Doniphan West Relays as the Mustangs hosted three other Twin Valley League schools and a few others. 

In the girls competition Doniphan West led the way with 69 total points to edge Troy by three points to win the team title. Southeast finished third, while Wetmore took fourth, Centralia fifth and Riverbend International sixth. Southeast boys earned first place as a team with 96 points to win the Doniphan West Relays. Centralia boys took second, while Wetmore finished third. Troy, Doniphan West and Riverbend International placed fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.

Troy was led by eight first place finishes on the day with Amanda Stock winning three events. Stock posted a time of 18.55 to win the 100 meter hurdles, while leaping to wins in the high jump and triple jump with leaps of 5'0 and 32'02.50, respectively. Cassidy Rosenberg raced to 300 meter hurdles victory posting a time of 52.19, while in the field events Holly Williams won the javelin (79'04) and Morgan Masters took first in the long jump (16'09.50). Girls 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams took first place notching times of 54.01 and 5:06.  

Leading the Wetmore Cardinals was Jonathan Hladky-Bailey has he won the boys 1600 and 3200 meter runs behind times of 5:07 and 11:18. While also in the boys competition Austin Smith took first in the 800 meter run (2:23) and Kyler Vance won the javelin (139'10). Lady Cardinals were led by Alena Pfrang who won the 3200 meter run (14:08) and Alyssa Bloom who took first in the 800 meter run (2:54). 

The host Doniphan West won five events on the day with Sadie Leach earning the gold in the girl’s discus (76'05) and shot put (27'07). Heidi Leach and Naomi Libel won the girls 400 meter dash (1:10.81) and 1600 meter run (8:21), while for the Doniphan West boys it was Austin Owens highlighting the day winning the triple jump (35'07.50). 

Centralia was led by the boys 4x800 meter relay (9:54) team which earned first place, while Austin Holthaus won the boys discus (101'06).
