Twin Valley League Teams Compete at Manhattan Track Invite

Five Twin Valley League schools were in action on Thursday at the Manhattan Invite to keep their track season rolling along and all saw some strong performances on the day. Frankfort, Hanover, Linn, Blue Valley-Randolph and Wetmore all had multiple Top three placers on the day.

Frankfort Wildcats were led by five first place finishes which all came in the boys competition. Garret Dalinghaus won the 110m hurdles with a time of 17.31 and took first in the pole vault behind a vault of 10'00. Anthony Koch earned first in the 300 meter hurdles (46.29), while Colton Parthemer won the long jump (19'05) and the 4x100 meter relay (47.15) team took first. Koch added a second place finish in the 110 meter hurdles to his day, while Carson Schreiner placed second in the 100 and third in the 200 meter dashes. Frankfort girls had plenty of great performances also at the Manhattan Invite. Maggi Armstrong earned the silver medal in both the 100 meter dash and pole vault, while Grace Dressman took second in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles. The lady Wildcats 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams each placed second and Laney Yaussi finished second in the 400 meter dash. Five Frankfort girls notched a third place finish on the day including Lydia Loiseau  in the 200 meter dash, Mariah Broxterman in the long jump, Kennen Brandt in the pole vault, Kaci Vaughn in the javelin and Alli Tommer in the shot put. 

A total of 11 first place finishes on the day led the Hanover Wildcats performances. Claire Zarybnicky raced her way to first place in the 800 and 1600 meter runs with times of 2:33.79 and 5:48.12, while the lady Wildcats 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams posted times of 4:18.78 and 10:38.76 to each take gold. Macy Doebele was also a multi-event winner for the lady Wildcats winning the long jump (17'03) and triple jump (38'00.50), while Bailey Liby won the girls 300 meter hurdles (51.70) and Deja Atkins won the girls 100 meter hurdles (17.33). Liby added a third place finish in the 100 meter hurdles to her day, while Cadlee Stallbaumer took second in the high jump and third in the 800 meter run. Second place was earned in the 200 meter dash by Taeghan Zabokrtsky while she also took third in the triple jump. Also Makenna Jueneman and Tianna Lohse placed second for Hanover girls in the long jump and javelin, respectively. 

Hanover boys had Pete Peters win the high jump (6'02), while Daiken Stallbaumer took home first in the triple jump (40'05.75) and the 4x400 meter relay (3:49.53) earned first place. Peters added a third place finish in the shot put to his day, while Stallbaumer also took second in the 300 meter hurdles. Carter Bruna earned second in the javelin for Hanover and the 4x100 meter relay team placed third. 

Linn was led by the performance of Shelby Ohlde who with times of 13.53, 27.49 and 1:04.19 won the girls 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes, while also posting a leap of 5'06 to win the high jump. Faith Beikmann added a third place finish in the girl’s discus for Linn, while Ricardo Cardenas placed second in the boys triple jump. 

Blue Valley-Randolph was led by Katie Hutson who won the girls 3200 meter run with a time of 13:03.44, while Brooklyn Zoeller took second in the girl’s triple jump and third in the 100 meter dash. In the boys competition Lane Peter earned second in the long jump and Cole Montgomery placed third in the high jump.

Wetmore had Jonathan Hladky-Bailey place second in the boys 1600 meter run and take third in the 3200 meter run, while Joel Hutfles placed third in the boys 110 meter hurdles and Kyler Vance finished in third in the boys long jump. In the girls competition Alyssa Bloom earned second in the 800 meter run for Wetmore.
