Marysville Girls Win NCKL Track Title & Boys Take Fourth

The regular season for track and field is now in the books for Marysville as they competed at the North Central Kansas League meet on Friday. 

The lady Bulldogs posted 123 total points to earn the NCKL League title by six points, while the boys took fourth place out the six League schools. 

On the way to an NCKL League title the lady Bulldogs had four event winners on the day with a pair setting records. Grace Stohs continued to her strong year in the pole vault by winning the League title and setting a new school record with a vault of 11'07, while Erin Rombeck broke the school record in the shot put with a toss of 39'08 and won the event. Avery Williams raced to a time of 17.30 to win the 100 meter hurdles and Nicole Franco behind a toss of 89'09.25 earned first in the discus. Both Sydney Pacha and Sami Bartels each recorded a second and third place finish at the NCKL meet as Pacha took second in the 200 meter dash and third in the javelin, while Bartels earned second in the javelin and third in the shot put. 
Sydney Grauer added a third place finish in the 3200 meter run, while the 4x400 meter relay team took second and the 4x100 meter relay team placed third for the lady Bulldogs. 

Leading the charge for the Marysville boys was the performance of the 4x400 meter relay team who time a time of 3:33.91 brought home the NCKL title. Multiple second place performances were also earned Marysville boys at the NCKL meet. Bryson Meinhardt snagged a pair of silver medals coming in the javelin and discus, while also taking third in the shot put. Second place was also earned by Matt Lindhorst in the pole vault, while the 4x100 meter relay team also took second place and Andrew Fink earned second in the 400 meter dash. A third place finish was picked up by the 4x800 meter relay team for Marysville.
