The second full week of the high school volleyball season wrapped up Saturday, and with that the second set of regular season rankings have been released by the Kansas Volleyball Association with four area teams named once again.

The Class 3A rankings haven’t changed much since last week, as the Royal Valley Panthers continue to be ranked No. 1 with a perfect 14-0 record. Royal Valley has played just two matches since the last rankings, recording two-set wins over Riverside and Sabetha.

The lone change in the 3A rankings this week comes for Nemaha Central, as the Thunder have dropped one spot in the rankings from No. 2 to No. 3 with a record of 13-3. The Thunder are coming off a home tournament championship Saturday where they went 5-1, along with two league wins Tuesday night over Riverside and Perry Lecompton.

Speaking of Perry the Kaws continue to be ranked in 3A, holding the No. 7 spot with an overall record of 9-1. The Kaws haven’t seen much game action since last week, with just the 1-1 night Tuesday to their credit since the week two rankings were released.

The final ranked area team comes in 1A, as the Centralia Panthers continued to dominate holding the top overall spot with a record of 13-0. The Panthers are coming off a 3-0 night Tuesday, with two-set wins over Axtell, Doniphan West and Hanover and have dropped just one set all season long.
