Sabetha Invitational – Girls Results, Boys Results
The high school cross country season continued last night as Sabetha hosted an invitational, and it was the host Bluejays who had the best finish of any area school as the girls and boys teams each took third.
On the girls side the Lady Jays had just two girls finish inside of the top 20, as Jadyn Dorn led the way with an 11th place finish while Skylar McAfee took 18th.
The best area individual finish on the girl’s side came from Atchison’s Adalyn Collins, as she won the meet with a time of 20:08.35 just one second over a runner from Baldwin.
Jackson Heights also had Annie Allen take eighth with a time of 21:15.68, while ACCHS saw Victoria Caplinger finish 10th in 21:22.04.
On the boys side the best area finish came from Jackson Heights as Daniel Little finished third with a time of 17:51.43, a little over 25 seconds behind the first place finisher.
As to Sabetha they were led by Henry Glynn who took fourth in 17:56.36, while Royal Valley had Nue Tinajero finish fifth, eight seconds behind Glynn.
The Day was rounded out by Wetmore’s Jonathan Hladky-Bailey, as he took 14th place with a time of 18:57.09.
