TVL League Meet – Girls Results & Boys Results
The high school cross country season continued last night with the league meets around the area, and at the Twin Valley League at Axtell the host Eagles took first on the boys side while it was Centralia who took the top spot for the girls.
On the boys side the Eagles had four runners finish inside of the top 15, as Quinn Buessing led the way taking second 8 seconds behind the winner, Washington County's Tyler Simmons who finished with a time of 17:38.
Axtell also had Simon Schmitz take fifth, Mitchell Buessing ninth, and Blake Porting 11th.
The Frankfort Wildcats took second place as a team on the boys side with three runners inside the top 15, as Colton Parthemer and Brandon Anderson finshed back-to-back taking third and fourth while Cody Evans took 13th.
Cenrtralia also had three runners inside the top 15 as Ransom Engeljen took seventh, Devon Feldkamp eighth and Tahj Engelken 10th.
Wetmore rounded out teams with multiple guys inside the top 15, as Jonathan Hladkey-Bailey took sixth while Eric Bloom finished 12th.
On the girls side Centralia claimed the top spot with five runners inside the top 15, as Tamra Jones led the way taking fourth with a time of 23:22. The Panthers also had Emma Holthaus take fifth, Emily Weyer ninth, Monica Stallbaumer 11th, and Sarah Koch 14th.
Also on the girls side Axtell had three runners inside the top 15, as Olivia Kuckelman took second, Jordyn Smith fifth, and Aspen Buessing 12th.
The meet was won by Washington County’s Natalie Harlan, as she finished with a time of 20:24 to win by 21 seconds.
