TVL Tournament – Results

The Twin Valley League volleyball tournament took place Saturday at Washington County, and the Centralia Panthers remained perfect on the season claiming the gold tournament championship over Frankfort.

The Panthers got to the title match by going 3-0 in pool play, picking up two-set wins over Wetmore, Clifton-Clyde and Axtell.

Centralia then took down Valley Heights in the semifinals 25-11, 25-23, before taking down Frankfort in two sets in the championship 25-20, 25-22.

As to the Wildcats they got to the title match by going 3-0 in pool play, taking down Blue Valley, Hanover and Valley Heights.

Frankfort then took down Clifton-Clyde in the semifinals 25-23, 25-19, before falling to Centralia in the championship.

Also in gold tournament play Valley Heights took third with a win over Clifton-Clyde in the third place match, finishing the tournament 3-2.

In the Silver portion of the TVL Tournament it was Washington County who took the top spot, as the Tigers went 3-1 with wins over Linn, Onaga and Troy but a loss to Doniphan West.

Linn also took second going 3-1, while Doniphan West took third, Onaga fourth and Troy fifth.
