Holton Wrestling Takes Second at Clay Center

Clay Center Wrestling Invitational – Results

The high school wrestling season continued on Saturday for both Holton and Perry Lecompton competing at the Clay Center Invitational, and it was the Wildcats who had the best team finish taking second with seven individual medalist.

The Wildcats were led by Kolby Roush and Konnor Tannahill who each took first, as Roush took the 132-pound title going 4-0 with four pins while Tannahill did the same in the 182-pound weight class.   

Holton also had Lucas Adcock take second after a 3-2 day at 116 pounds, while Cael Jackson took third at 160 pounds going 4-1 on the day.

Jake Barnes also went 2-2 at 106 pounds to take fourth, while Cayden Jackson did the same in the 120-pound weight class.

As to Perry Lecompton the Kaws had Collin Rossillon take fifth at 285 pounds, while Wesley Monaghan did the same in the 285-pound weight class.

The best finish for the Kaws came from Thad Metcalfe in the 138-pound weight class, as he finished the day 3-2 to take fourth.

Next up for Holton is a meet at Sabetha Thursday, while Perry will host a quad on Thursday as well.
