Hiawatha and Horton together played host to Silver Lake and Hayden in a double dual on the mats last night and walked away with a split in the action.
The Redhawks and Chargers earned a 27-24 tight win over Hayden, but were defeated by Silver Lake in the other matchup 54-16 on the night.
In the dual with Hayden, Hiawatha/Horton five victories to secure the win on the night a three point margin. Little Bear Johnson, Kristan Costa and Lowe earned wins with open spots for Hayden. Christian Small earned a win by fall over his opponent in just 50 seconds, while Dalton Lehmkuhl registered a win by decision.
Against Silver Lake, only three Hiawatha/Horton wrestlers registered wins with Thomas Durex winning with an open spot for Silver Lake and both Christian Small and Little Bear Johnson each wins over their opponents to go 2-0 on the night each.
Hiawatha/Horton on the evening goes 1-1 in their home double dual with Silver Lake (who went 2-0) and Hayden (0-2).
